Haw! Harry. Live by identity politics, die by identity politics. This was brilliant on Blag's part. He appointed a black man to replace a black man and if Reid continues this stand, he will have the entire Black Congressional Committee beating him around the head and ears. This is going to bite Harry in his hip pocket. Can't say that it could happen to a nicer guy. The Illinois Democrats have blocked a special election knowing damn well that they face turning that seat over to a Republican. Can't have that. Now, the PEBO has also been silenced. What can he say about this appointment without looking like he is exerting more pressure than he should be in his replacement? In case Reid has not bothered to read the law, Blag is still governor. He has not been found guilty of any illegalities, nor has he been impeached and I doubt that without a guilty verdict, and his day in court, Illinois can legally impeach him. Blag still has the legal authority to appoint Obama's replacement, and he has done it, blindsiding both Reid and Obama in the process. Democrats, the Guppy Party who eats their own.
