I’m a little late with this, but I’ve been reading the report as have others. Yet two things are standing out. 1) The late drop while Obama is on vacation. It’s a slow news day many people are busy with the holiday preparations and not paying much attention.

2) It reads like a defense closing argument.

Of course it doesn’t matter. The only report that matters is what Fitzgerald’s office will come with at Blagojevich’s trial.

Basically if not a defense, it’s a PR document and nothing else.

UPDATE: According to this, Obama was interviewed by federal prosecutors last week. Obama’s lawyer says “nothing to see here”. Again, we’ll make the determination of that Craig when we see the entire thing played out.
