The housing market has forced a lot of illegals in Texas back across the border because they can’t make a living, but if the economy gears up again, they will come back and border states will be on the hook for their care again. With Napalitano as Sec’y of Homeland Security, I expect we will be handing out gift bags as the exit the Rio Grande.

Funny, no one ever talks to the Tejanos about amnesty for illegals. They are dead set against it. They know that illegals drive down the wages of jobs the Tejanos typically hold.

We have learned that the “compassion conservatism” of George Bush is nothing more than Democrat Lite and it costs us seats. Time to vote in Republicans that espouse Reagan type conservatism and go back to our core values, not “go along to get along” politics.

I hope Jeb decides not to run. It will give Florida a chance to elect someone like John Cornyn or Jeb Hensarling.

As to the others considering it , line up to take a shot for the seat held by Nelson.

He was going to retire until Rahm Emanuel and Howard Dean leaned on him last time around.

I consider him a likely open seat when that race comes up.
