Palin is Right Again, An Obama Presidency is a Danger to the First Amendent
You wouldn’t expect the Obama lapdog media to get it, and chuckle away any notion that an Obama administration would threaten our right to free speech, and the media ought to know, they have done a job on Palin and McCain just for daring to speak out on Obama’s associations.
“ABC News’ Steven Portnoy reports: In a conservative radio interview that aired in Washington, D.C. Friday morning, Republican vice presidential nominee Gov. Sarah Palin said she fears her First Amendment rights may be threatened by “attacks” from reporters who suggest she is engaging in a negative campaign against Barack Obama.
Palin told WMAL-AM that her criticism of Obama’s associations, like those with 1960s radical Bill Ayers and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, should not be considered negative attacks. Rather, for reporters or columnists to suggest that it is going negative may constitute an attack that threatens a candidate’s free speech rights under the Constitution, Palin said.
“If [the media] convince enough voters that that is negative campaigning, for me to call Barack Obama out on his associations,” Palin told host Chris Plante, “then I don’t know what the future of our country would be in terms of First Amendment rights and our ability to ask questions without fear of attacks by the mainstream media.”
Of course we know this happened to Joe the Plumber, who was literally crucified for having the guts to call out Obama on his socialistic plans for America.
We also know that throughout this campaign the Obama campaign has used threats and intimidation to silence critics. Just last month it was t. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch, St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer, Missouri Obama campaign Senator Claire McCaskill who threatened to throw those who ran TV commericals that they felt were “lies” into jail.
Just today the Obama campaign booted journalist from three newspapers who endorsed McCain from their airplane.
Palin is right, Obama is a danger to the freedom of the press which should make the press hang their head in shame.

It’s hardly crucifixion to point out that someone that claims to be a plumber is in fact unlicensed and never when through an approved apprentice training.
If fraudulent to claim to be a something when you’re not.
At least he’s not “Joe the Doctor”.
Also he owes back taxes… that’s means something is wrong with him.
My guess is that’s he’s trying to get in the media spotlight and make some money off it.
But on topic, Palin’s claim to attack on her first amendment rights are laughable if it were not coming from someone a heart-beat away from the Presidency.
Except she wasn’t talking about Obama. She was talking about the media calling her campaigning “dirty”. Say what you will about Obama, Palin’s statement shows a stunning lack of understanding of the First Amendment. It’s better to be thought a fool…..
Pet peeve …
Joe the Plumber wasn’t “literally crucified.” The word “literally” is supposed to be used to let people know that you aren’t being figurative. You are being figurative.
Okay, onto substance …
The First Amendment might be threatened if she was being silenced, but not for people answering her. That, in fact, is the point of the “freedom of speech” clause. She speaks, people answer, all ideas are on the table.
Wickle about your pet peeve… literally has more than one meaning. While it is true that “literally” can mean that you’re not being figurative, it can also be used in a figurative sense.
[...] take the time to mention here in the Chamber (opting instead to roam to other blogs that had brought it up), which was the fact that Palin didn’t seem to understand the meaning of [...]
