It’s fun to see the nutroots go ga-ga over something like this:
“Tomorrow night, after spending the day telling Congress that President Bush‚Äôs Iraq escalation should continue, Gen. David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker will take their PR campaign to a more comfortable setting: Fox News.”
Pathetic. You know for the left the wheels are coming off now. You see with them it doesn’t take much to get them to drop the mask and show themselves to be the anti-military bunch they really are. Whether it’s Kos’s famous “SCREW “EM”, or this sad parade of calling General Patreaus a liar, they simply cannot help themselves. They are what they are. You can clean up a pig and teach it manners but at the first spring rain it will scamper out the door and find the nearest mud puddle. Pig is always pig.
Perhaps they’re just mad that Keith (Osama) Olbermann didn’t get the call instead of Brit Hume, a former ABC News journalist with over 30 years experience actually reporting news instead of spouting ignorance.
Oh, that’s right Hume’s conservative and that automatically disqualifies him for any objective interview. Under such rules, the entire MSM by and large should resign for being liberal.
You know all this is good for one thing because forevermore we can dispell this notion of the left “supporting the troops” – as the troops are overwhelmingly behind Patraeus and the Surge.
As each day goes by the masks come off and we see them for who they are, and so does the rest of America.

1Yes, the rest of America does see this. The dems have cooked their goose. It’s actually the dems that’s afraid of the 2008 elections. The GOP are growing a spine. Just watch…
I just thank Our Lord daily for President Bush, General Patraeus and his commanders under him. And of course our wonderful troops.

2the fact that brit hume is conservative doesn’t disqualify him from conducting an objective interview…the fact that brit hume contiually shows himself to be a water carrier for the administration disqaulifies any interview he does from being considered as objective journalism. like most political junkies i will watch the interview and try to understand what it is that patreaus is really thinking. but if past performance is an indicator brit hume will not make it any easier to discern the truth.

3case in point;
yesterday mr. hume said, “…Who are we fighting there now, Juan? Al Qaeda in Iraq. They were there before we got there, and they’re there now…” however the fact is that aqi did not even exist before we invaded iraq. this is the type of thing you really see when “the masks come off”.

4JK how do you “know” so much? If AQ did not exist before 2003, who were those guys on the planes? Oh right, there weren’t any planes. Yes your mask has come off!

5duke…aq existed – aqi did not. al queda in iraq did not exist as an organization before we invaded, and did not align themselves with bin laden until october of ’04. do you see how this works? faux news says something which is untrue and because it is on tv you believe it. then you use those falsehoods to judge the statements of others. but if you are basing your judgements and opinions on faux news, including brit hume, then you are basing your opinions on falsehoods. ipso facto your opinions are wrong.

6What is getting lost in this announcement is that channeling the general and the ambassador to a single news outlet is a lost opportunity for the american citizen. The White House should have put them in a news conference. This really does set a bad precedent. Both left and right news organizations deserve access to these two important public servants.

7“Do you see how this works?” Very clearly. No facts, no links, just a posting of Bin Laden talking points.

8brit hume last night;
“…You’ve suppressed the insurgency by al-Qaida to a considerable extent…”
sorry folks – that’s not journalism. in a court room that would be called leading the witness. faux news doesn’t even make any pretense at being objective. which is fine – that’s their right. but it’s not journalism.
