Media Matters (That George Soros Place) is fuming along with the rest of the hypocrites on the left because he called some “seminar caller” who “said” he was a soldier (you never know) “a phoney”.
Like the typical left they translate this through their jello minds into he called all soldiers (present or future) who doesn’t support the Iraq war a “phony soldier”.
“During the September 26 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio show, Rush Limbaugh called service members who advocate U.S. withdrawal from Iraq “phony soldiers.” He made the comment while discussing with a caller a conversation he had with a previous caller, “Mike from Chicago,” who said he “used to be military,” and “believe[s] that we should pull out of Iraq.” Limbaugh told the second caller, whom he identified as “Mike, this one from Olympia, Washington,” that “[t]here’s a lot” that people who favor U.S. withdrawal “don’t understand” and that when asked why the United States should pull out, their only answer is, ” ‘Well, we just gotta bring the troops home.’ … ‘Save the — keeps the troops safe’ or whatever,” adding, “[I]t’s not possible, intellectually, to follow these people.” “Mike” from Olympia replied, “No, it’s not, and what’s really funny is, they never talk to real soldiers. They like to pull these soldiers that come up out of the blue and talk to the media.” Limbaugh interjected, “The phony soldiers.” The caller, who had earlier said, “I am a serving American military, in the Army,” agreed, replying, “The phony soldiers.”
As usual George Matters misses the second caller who also identified himself as a soldier – an active soldier at that – and too referred to the first caller as a “phoney soldier”. But he doesn’t count in their dithered minds because he’s apparently a
….”conservative”.
By the way, his and Rush’s opinion is not a lone one among active soldiers by the way, many of whom view “malcontents” with not so loving feelings. In fact as I told you before that back “in the day” we spotted these types in basic training and “marked them” with a special party! You know, to let them know just what they had signed up for in case they forgot.
Note that “Mike from Chicago” identified himself as a “former soldier”.
From what era Mike? Vietnam, WWII, Korea, or farmed out in basic training? Maybe another “Jessie McBeth”?
Meanwhile John Kerry responds:
“This disgusting attack from Rush Limbaugh, cheerleader for the Chicken Hawk wing of the far right, is an insult to American troops. In a single moment on his show, Limbaugh managed to question the patriotism of men and women in uniform who have put their lives on the line and many who died for his right to sit safely in his air conditioned studio peddling hate. On August 19th, The New York Times published an op-ed by seven members of the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division critical of George Bush’s Iraq policy. Two of those soldiers were killed earlier this month in Baghdad. Does Mr. Limbaugh dare assert that these heroes were ‘phony soldiers’? Mr. Limbaugh owes an apology to everyone who has ever worn the uniform of our country, and an apology to the families of every soldier buried in Arlington National Cemetery. He is an embarrassment to his Party, and I expect the Republicans who flock to his microphone will now condemn this indefensible statement.”
Hell Kerry, we’ve been you a phony for 35 years!
UPDATE: I see that veteran half-wit (Soros funded) Jon Soltz who had his ass handed to him by a true patriot, Col. Buzz Patterson is up in arms as well.  This is the same moron that prevented another soldier from speaking at Yearly Kos this year.
Real prince of a guy.
The left, as predictable as a hemorrhoid.

3Col. Buzz Patterson
This guy is a clown.
Here’s a quote from July 6, 2005:
“The war is being won, if not already won, I think,” Patterson, who is retired from the U.S. Air Force, said. “[Iraq] is stabilized and we want the soldiers themselves to tell the story.”

5I remember the pictures of Kerry sitting in a Iraqi mess hall all alone. Seems the soldiers were not to eager to hob-nob with a phoney who built a career on his “re-enacted” military service and deserted his men after playing the system for four months.
Most soldiers don’t subscribe to Kerry’s Soros/Marx philosophy but don’t tell the left. It would be too great a shock to their nervous systems.
