Looks like corruption trouble - again - in New Jersey:

“Eleven public officials were charged Thursday in a widespread FBI corruption investigation, officials said.

Among those charged, Passaic Mayor Sammy Rivera and Orange Mayor Mims Hackett investigators said.FBI agents made the early morning arrests that included current and past Board of Education officials from Pleasantville. Current Board President James Pressley, board member Rafeal Velez and former board members Jayson Adams, James McCormick, and Pete Callaway were all arrested. Callaway is currently serving as a member of the Pleasantville City Council.

Investigators said many of the officials were caught on tape allegedly accepting payoffs.

The arrested officials are expected to be arraigned on corruption charges in Trenton Thursday afternoon. FBI agents in Newark and Atlantic City led officials away in handcuffs Thursday morning as NewsChannel 4 cameras were rolling.”

The article fails to mention the party affiliation which is Democrat and which I would expect Democratic Sen. Robert Menendez to have some type of comment on as to how he is working to clean up his state.¬† Obviously it’s a little touchy for him as he has had his own corruption problems.¬†¬† Look also for pending corruption charges coming for Democratic state senators, Wayne Bryant of Lawnside and Sharpe James of Newark.
