Don’t look now, but Bush’s poll numbers are rising.
“President Bush’s firm position on Iraq has firmed up his Job Approval numbers. For the fourth straight day, 39% of Americans say they approve of the way the President his performing his job. That‚Äôs up three percentage points from the ratings before the President‚Äôs press conference last Thursday and four points above the June average. The bounce can be traced to the response of Republicans who are more supportive of the President now that the debate over immigration has been left behind.”
It’s further noted that Republican support is a bit fractured, nevertheless this is a rising trend and will continue as the surge continues to provide success - as we knew it would.

5Bush is his own worst enemy at this point. I can’t see his approval rating getting much higher than 40%.
