“University of Colorado President Hank Brown recommends that Professor Ward Churchill be fired over allegations of research misconduct and plagiarism.
It could still be several weeks before the case ends up in the hands of the Board of Regents. They have the final say on whether Churchill should be disciplined.
Churchill denies all the allegations against him. He said he will file a lawsuit if the Board of Regent fire him.”
Churchill is threatening to sue in federal court, but there’s not much of a case. He’ll claim protection of free speech but CU is saying that he is being fired mainly because of plagiarism and not so much for his controversial statements.
