   I have a hard time understanding why any person who considers themselves Jewish would ever consider voting for a Democrat. What part of the Democrat messages of support to the terrorists do they not understand? What part of the terrorist message that Israel is a country to be destroyed do they not understand?

   For some reason the majority of the Jewish population of the US has been traditionally Democrat. Maybe it goes back to Roosevelt or Kennedy … or maybe it is because of the large concentration in NYC of Jewish immigrants in past decades which is mostly Democrat. No idea. But I can’t for the life of me understand why they would vote Democrat these days.

   Ben Stein once tried to explain, in an article in The American Spectator, why Jews are Democrats. I recall reading it several times and still baffled. I tried to find that article and couldn’t. But I did find this from Ben about the ’04 Academy Awards: Riefenstahl Madness
   The confusion is compounded by the fact that many, if not most, of the personalities on display at the Oscars are Jewish, at least by birth if not by practice. How could the Academy have possibly thought that they could memorialize Leni Riefenstahl in front of such a group? Again, the need to ?©pater les hands that feed them is insatiable.

   It is very much of a piece: the evening’s bitter criticism of Bush, who liberated an entire nation from a mass murderer, and then an apologist for another mass murderer getting applauded by men and women dripping with diamonds and pearls. A similar perverse longing for evil touches both parts of the evening.

   Go figure.
