"Why not a recall petition?"

Because the people in San Francisco, Nancy's district, LIKE her. They LIKE what she did. They are the only ones that can recall her and they are 100% behind her. So there is no way they are going to recall her. The only way to get her out of that seat at this point is to knock her out in the primary.

Why not a recall petition? Why not organized opposition? I think a worm finally crawled out of the pile recently mumbling something about "he is no longer in love with Bush".

The Dem's MSM Army won their public opinion war because of ineffective Pug PR. So how much did Matthew Dowd mouthing his crap have to do with this?

Pelosi's evil intent....(call it what it is, not some silly foolish female blunder) should be playing on my TV right now with Republican Congressmen showing their outrage. If some idiot Republicans get knocked out also...so be it. I will keep repeating OVER & OVER again....the Republicans in Congress have had the power to stop this crap from year 2001. They absolutely refuse to effectively fight their counterpoints. They should NOT be on break....they should all get their azzes back to Washington and stand on the steps and talk....talk....talk....talk....take group pictures accusing the Democrats of what they are actually doing.

We do not have the MSM but we did have control of Congress. These tin Overseers needed to tend to the Party. Slap down the Specters when he feeds the MSM. Slap down the McCain/Lindsays when they feed the MSM with torture material. They did not act like people in control and it will be a cold day in....before they wrestle it back from the MSM Army. The DemWits have given them all the ammo they could ever need. They just never figure out how to fire it against the MSM Army.

"Yeah, if all the Independents and Republicans vote in the Democratic primary for an opposition candidate"

Remember that California is an "open primary" which means anyone of any party can vote in the Democratic primary.

"why oh why Washington Compost would you cross that line?"

A couple of reasons and this isn't the first time the WaPo has criticized the House Democrats lately either.

The dems keep switching the game. Lets say they say they want more toops in Iraq and so the Post goes to the plate for them and argues why this is a good idea. Now the Democratic leadership, when the President proposes more troops, instead of cheering it, say they now want to pull them all out, but don't worry, they aren't going to defund them. Now the WaPo must change their story a little if they are still going to carry the Democrats' water. So now they try to explain that position to the people. And now the Democrats say they are going to defund our troops, and the Washington Post is starting to realize that if they keep trying to defend the Democrats they are going to hurt their own credibility.

The Democrats are being just plain stupid to the point where the people who usually stick up for them just can't anymore. It is so stupid that to support them would make the WaPo look stupid too, and they just aren't ready to go that far. In other words, the Washington Post can't even rationalize the latest behavior.

"do you see a way Pelosi loses a primary election?"

Yeah, if all the Independents and Republicans vote in the Democratic primary for an opposition candidate, if there is one.

There are more Independents + Republicans than there are Democrats and an opposition candidate is going to get SOME Democrat votes anyway.

A question here I see is WHY did Washington Compost write an article like this? We all know Nan is not playing with a full deck...stupid is as stupid does...that group continues to be delusional.

Now back to that question...why oh why Washington Compost would you cross that line?

As I see it, there can only be one queen bee in that DC hive...and of course...it's hildabeast...ain't it fun to watch 'em eating their own. LOL...

Primaries are at least a year off. Imagine the damage the stupid Democrats will do by then. The need to stop runaway sedition is now. If a group would just start talking recall in just one district, let's say Murtha's, the effect would be electric. Or if some group would just set up a RECALL MURTHA website, it would get a huge response. For starters, the entire Marine Corps, active and retired, would probably sign on. I understand he is the Marines' most detested person. A recall movement would be a tremendous PR coup; would garner enormous negative publicity for Murtha or any other candidate--a huge embarrassment for little expense. What did waiting for the election accomplish in '06? Inaction and lack of fight (inexplicable silence, cowardice?) are the Republican Party's major problems. Creativity is nowhere to be found. If a recall is allowed in a state (it isn't in all) it's a way for the voters to register right now their disgust with the job a legislator is doing. Then, perhaps there would be a real chance to crack a "safe" district with a new candidate. Act now, why wait?

It doesn't take strong leadership by the Republicans to oust a Democrat incumbent in California, all it takes is for a majority of primary voters to do that and California allows everyone of all parties to vote in the Democratic primary. The thing is, you can only vote one primary. But it is easy since the primary for both parties is held on the same day. You ask for a Democrat ballot or a Republican ballot after you sign in. So I would ask for a Democrat ballot and vote for the opposition candidate. Then when the general election comes along, the Republican will probably lose, but at least the old Democrat is out of office.
