Good to see that I’m not the only one with Jello for brains when they see the travesty which is Jihad Nancy:
“HOUSE SPEAKER Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) offered an excellent demonstration yesterday of why members of Congress should not attempt to supplant the secretary of state when traveling abroad. After a meeting with Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad in Damascus, Ms. Pelosi announced that she had delivered a message from Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert that “Israel was ready to engage in peace talks” with Syria. What’s more, she added, Mr. Assad was ready to “resume the peace process” as well. Having announced this seeming diplomatic breakthrough, Ms. Pelosi suggested that her Kissingerian shuttle diplomacy was just getting started. “We expressed our interest in using our good offices in promoting peace between Israel and Syria,” she said.
Only one problem: The Israeli prime minister entrusted Ms. Pelosi with no such message. “What was communicated to the U.S. House Speaker does not contain any change in the policies of Israel,” said a statement quickly issued by the prime minister’s office. In fact, Mr. Olmert told Ms. Pelosi that “a number of Senate and House members who recently visited Damascus received the impression that despite the declarations of Bashar Assad, there is no change in the position of his country regarding a possible peace process with Israel.” In other words, Ms. Pelosi not only misrepresented Israel’s position but was virtually alone in failing to discern that Mr. Assad’s words were mere propaganda.”
What a unmitigated disaster this clutz is. More on the damage from the Jersusalem Post:
“Pelosi, who met in Damascus with Syrian President Bashar Assad over the objections of US President George W. Bush, said she brought a message to Assad from Olmert saying that Israel was ready for peace talks.
“We were very pleased with the reassurances we received from the president [Assad] that he was ready to resume the peace process. He was ready to engage in negotiations for peace with Israel,” Pelosi said after meeting Assad.
She said the meeting with the Syrian leader “enabled us to communicate a message from Prime Minister Olmert that Israel was ready to engage in peace talks as well.”
According to officials in the Prime Minister’s Office, however, this was not what transpired during her meeting with Olmert.
The officials said Olmert had told Pelosi that he thought her trip to Damascus was a mistake, and that when she asked - nevertheless - whether he had a message for Assad, Olmert said Syria should first stop supporting terrorism and “act like a normal country,” and only then would Israel be willing to hold discussions.
The first part of that message, the officials said, was lost in what was reported from Damascus on Wednesday.”
Unbelievable! No wonder the terrorists are praising her. In less than a week Jihad Nancy managed to completely reset the clock on tensions between Israel and Syria. Not bad, what do you do for an encore?
Forget not that - and I don’t believe anyone made the connection - that the wearing of the scarf in Syria was a sign of “submission”. So according to Jihad Nancy we are now submissive to Syria?
Come on, am I the only one calling for her ouster from the House? Dare we say, “Impeach”, or as it’s said in California -”Recall”? Capt Ed notes the evidence.
In any case, it’s time for Jihad Nancy to go.

1If the same energy now being wasted to boycott Rosie O’Donnell’s sponsors was spent organizing recall petitions, I bet you would see an instant change in attitude in Congress. Something like patriotism, for a change. In addition to shadow pres. Pelosi, here’s my short list of recall candidates:
John Murtha
Jay Rockefeller
EVERY House Democrat who voted against the “John Doe” protection amendment (for reporting suspicious activity)
Just getting a recall petition drive started and making it public would not cost much money, and would go a long way toward calming these fools down and getting them to pay at least a little attention to their responsibilities. At the very least making them look over their shoulders at the bad publicity from home would slow them down significantly.

2We don’t need recall petitions. Here is the first step: It is called the PRIMARY process. If your state has an “open primary” as does mine (California), and you have an incumbent Democrat in office and someone is challenging that incumbent in the Democratic Primary, vote in their primary for the opposition candidate.

3This trip has done serious harm to Pelosi and the Democrats. I can imagine the Jewish vote is fleeing as I speak. The Democrats look so foolish at this point. Total amateurs. Right out of the Jerry Springer school of political nuance. A laughingstock.

4Pelosi: Counterproductive and Foolish…
She has learned nothing. They have learned nothing. Bottomline, this is why they are rarely trusted with our national security and why their pitiful attempts at diplomacy have usually blown right up in there faces….

While I agree a primary would be the way to oust an incumbent, I cannot see it being effective in this situation. She is a lock in her district.
It would take strong leadership on the part of the Republicans to address the issue of this trip and then a huge outcry from the population to stop this madness. Right now unfortunately, I am not sure either can be achieved. My hope is that whether public or private, the President takes her to the woodshed for this episode.

7If she is in a “safe” district then she can not be recalled either.

8It doesn’t take strong leadership by the Republicans to oust a Democrat incumbent in California, all it takes is for a majority of primary voters to do that and California allows everyone of all parties to vote in the Democratic primary. The thing is, you can only vote one primary. But it is easy since the primary for both parties is held on the same day. You ask for a Democrat ballot or a Republican ballot after you sign in. So I would ask for a Democrat ballot and vote for the opposition candidate. Then when the general election comes along, the Republican will probably lose, but at least the old Democrat is out of office.

10Primaries are at least a year off. Imagine the damage the stupid Democrats will do by then. The need to stop runaway sedition is now. If a group would just start talking recall in just one district, let’s say Murtha’s, the effect would be electric. Or if some group would just set up a RECALL MURTHA website, it would get a huge response. For starters, the entire Marine Corps, active and retired, would probably sign on. I understand he is the Marines’ most detested person. A recall movement would be a tremendous PR coup; would garner enormous negative publicity for Murtha or any other candidate–a huge embarrassment for little expense. What did waiting for the election accomplish in ‘06? Inaction and lack of fight (inexplicable silence, cowardice?) are the Republican Party’s major problems. Creativity is nowhere to be found. If a recall is allowed in a state (it isn’t in all) it’s a way for the voters to register right now their disgust with the job a legislator is doing. Then, perhaps there would be a real chance to crack a “safe” district with a new candidate. Act now, why wait?

11A question here I see is WHY did Washington Compost write an article like this? We all know Nan is not playing with a full deck…stupid is as stupid does…that group continues to be delusional.
Now back to that question…why oh why Washington Compost would you cross that line?
As I see it, there can only be one queen bee in that DC hive…and of course…it’s hildabeast…ain’t it fun to watch ‘em eating their own. LOL…

12“do you see a way Pelosi loses a primary election?”
Yeah, if all the Independents and Republicans vote in the Democratic primary for an opposition candidate, if there is one.
There are more Independents + Republicans than there are Democrats and an opposition candidate is going to get SOME Democrat votes anyway.

13“why oh why Washington Compost would you cross that line?”
A couple of reasons and this isn’t the first time the WaPo has criticized the House Democrats lately either.
The dems keep switching the game. Lets say they say they want more toops in Iraq and so the Post goes to the plate for them and argues why this is a good idea. Now the Democratic leadership, when the President proposes more troops, instead of cheering it, say they now want to pull them all out, but don’t worry, they aren’t going to defund them. Now the WaPo must change their story a little if they are still going to carry the Democrats’ water. So now they try to explain that position to the people. And now the Democrats say they are going to defund our troops, and the Washington Post is starting to realize that if they keep trying to defend the Democrats they are going to hurt their own credibility.
The Democrats are being just plain stupid to the point where the people who usually stick up for them just can’t anymore. It is so stupid that to support them would make the WaPo look stupid too, and they just aren’t ready to go that far. In other words, the Washington Post can’t even rationalize the latest behavior.

Remember that California is an “open primary” which means anyone of any party can vote in the Democratic primary.

15Why not a recall petition? Why not organized opposition? I think a worm finally crawled out of the pile recently mumbling something about “he is no longer in love with Bush”.
The Dem’s MSM Army won their public opinion war because of ineffective Pug PR. So how much did Matthew Dowd mouthing his crap have to do with this?
Pelosi’s evil intent….(call it what it is, not some silly foolish female blunder) should be playing on my TV right now with Republican Congressmen showing their outrage. If some idiot Republicans get knocked out also…so be it. I will keep repeating OVER & OVER again….the Republicans in Congress have had the power to stop this crap from year 2001. They absolutely refuse to effectively fight their counterpoints. They should NOT be on break….they should all get their azzes back to Washington and stand on the steps and talk….talk….talk….talk….take group pictures accusing the Democrats of what they are actually doing.
We do not have the MSM but we did have control of Congress. These tin Overseers needed to tend to the Party. Slap down the Specters when he feeds the MSM. Slap down the McCain/Lindsays when they feed the MSM with torture material. They did not act like people in control and it will be a cold day in….before they wrestle it back from the MSM Army. The DemWits have given them all the ammo they could ever need. They just never figure out how to fire it against the MSM Army.

16“Why not a recall petition?”
Because the people in San Francisco, Nancy’s district, LIKE her. They LIKE what she did. They are the only ones that can recall her and they are 100% behind her. So there is no way they are going to recall her. The only way to get her out of that seat at this point is to knock her out in the primary.
