Been trying to post over at Capt's and can't seem to fix my problem (even after he tried to tell me how) so will leave a message here.

Lots of good wishes and prayers headed your way Captain and FM and also for the saint of a donor and family.

It is amazing through the blogs how we have found so many with whom to identify.

Prayers and thoughts to Captain Ed and the First Mate.

I started blogging while I was on "death watch" for my Mother. It saved my sanity. Losing myself in blog design, or concentrating on something outside myself, helped me get through the long depressing days leading up to her death and the overriding grief and sorrow that followed when she finally lost the battle.

I wish I'd had a laptop back when I had to sit in a surgical waiting room during long and dangerous procedures a loved one was undergoing. Those waiting rooms, often in the hospital basement, can be the lonely places on the planet when you are in there by yourself and your mind is racing with all the negative things you can't help but imagine.

My thoughts and prayers are with the First Mate and bravo to Captain Ed for finding a way to get through it by live blogging. And bravo to those in the blogosphere for being there as a gigantic worldwide support group. I know it helps. God bless.
