Being that this is a story from McClatchy News (cough), I just couldn’t let it go by.
Senator Jay (been to Syria and back to tell ‘em about our war plans and boy is my yap tired) Rockefeller, has some stones to talk about delay in investigations.
“Vice President Dick Cheney exerted “constant” pressure on the Republican former chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee to stall an investigation into the Bush administration’s use of flawed intelligence on Iraq, the panel’s Democratic chairman charged Thursday.
In an interview with McClatchy Newspapers, Sen. Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia also accused President Bush of running an illegal program by ordering eavesdropping on Americans’ international e-mails and telephone communications without court-issued warrants.
In the 45-minute interview, Rockefeller said that it was “not hearsay” that Cheney, a leading proponent of invading Iraq, pushed Sen. Pat Roberts, R-Kan., to drag out the probe of the administration’s use of prewar intelligence.”
This coming from the traitor who told our enemies of our war effort BEFORE we went. This putz who formulated the plan for disputing the war in Iraq in a well known and much publicized memo that detailed how Democrats would question every move of the administration (whether valid or not) and basically undermine the war effort.
Senator Rockefeller who has stalled several attemps to gain information on his activities by an Alexandria Virginia Grand Jury investigating leaks by playing sick and citing confidential privilege, has no room to talk of “stalling”.
This guy ought to be under the jail, or in a nut house.

1“Senator Rockefeller who has stalled several attemps to gain information on his activities by an Alexandria Virginia Grand Jury investigating leaks…”
…umm…about that Grand Jury…
just exactly how long can old Jay refuse to “cough it up”?
Also, how long can Sandy Berger and the Justice Department postpone a “lie detector test” that was supposedly part of the “plea deal” that Berger agreed to but was never administered by the DOJ (notedly Noel Hillman)? I mean WTF!

2And requests to my senator (Kyl) have been less than responsive on both issues. You’re my only hope, ObiWan!
