Perhaps a little known secret is that CENTCOM has a website with REAL stories from the front, not made up crap like the AP. While watching the MSM you get the idea that nothing is going right in Iraq, that isn’t the case at all, and those who are there know it. Readers of the left can “stuff it” about it being a Defense Department propaganda site, it reports the good and bad and is staffed by good journalists who again are serving their country instead of trying to defeat it.

Yes there are IDE and car boom attacks and kidnappings and murders, there is actually more good than bad happening and real signs of progress. What kind of progress?

Did you know that the Iraqi Army provides health care for citizens? It’s true.

Or that The Iraqi Army led a successful offensive operation here recently, capturing 10 suspected insurgents and rescuing a kidnapped 16-year-old Iraqi boy being held for a $150,000 ransom?

There is much more. If you want the real story about what is going on, get it from the “boots on the ground” not the biased “combat typist” who plaque our MSM.

Additionally, there is this telling interview at RightThinking blog of a soldier in Iraq. Specifically this quote which mirrors my point:

“*What can the American public do to help you‚Ķ to support both the troops and the mission?

Read up on what is going on. Check out what the people on the ground are saying. Milblogs.com has a comprehensive list of military bloggers, with views from different soldiers doing all kinds of different missions. Understand that there is much more to this effort than the daily casualty counts.”

Much more!

Get the word out on CENTCOM’s site!
