The big sound bite coming to your TV news tonight ad nauseum , is from Secretary of Defense nominee Robert Gates who when asked by Comrade Cark Levin, “Are we winning the war?” Gates replied “No”.

However the fact is that we did win the war for Iraq over three years ago. Saddam was toppled and is about to get noosed. Game over. What we are faced with now isn’t a “war” in the conventional sense and all but the terminally ignorant know it. The answer should be, “What war are you referring to Comrade Levin?” The war on terrorists world-wide isn’t “winnable” in the conventional sense as in something we will hoist a flag on and declare “V Day”! It will be on ongoing struggle taking years and that’s exactly what Bush has said from the beginning.

The ignorance of Levin, and the rest of the Democrats is astounding. The very question – often asked by them – is a testamony to the fact that they really don’t give a squat about the security of this country. They are constitutionally incapable because they don’t have an intelligent grasp of what is at issue. All they care about – indeed all they have ever cared about – is hammering Bush even if it leads to another 9/11 ,which if the current shackling continues, will happen very soon.
