Fourty-eight hours until the dreaded midterm elections.

From the beginning I’ve told you to pay no attention to polls, they mean squat, it all about turnout. GET OFF YOUR ASS AND VOTE!

Here in early voting the local GOP early turnout in South Florida is very entusiastic and motivated and definitely not discouraged.

The extreme fantasy of the MSM would have you think we’ve had it and that we want to punish the President and the republicans by staying home, but it’s simply not showing that in internal polling.

The fact is that the media and the democrats know that the when it comes to turnout the republicans have – always have had – the greater voter turnout. Regardless of what we’ve been told the country is still decidedly Red. The Democrats have played the “Bush sucks” mantra to the point that even members of their own party are saying, “Yeah so what? What is YOUR plan?”. This is one of the reasons that Nancy Pelosi has been detained in a nondisclosed location and there is not a whole lot of rehortic coming out now.

Of course the John Kerry gaft is still huge and still having ramifications. In fact Newsweak has declared him “unfit for duty” as a punishment.

So forget the polls, get out and vote. Call your friends and go in the same car, or get on the bus, but get to the polls and vote.

UPDATE: Ok, I’m getting emails on TKS’s take on the final Pew Poll over at the Corner, showing a hugh shift towards republications. It’s welcome news, but still I stand on my mantra – GET OFF YOUR ASS AND VOTE!
