According to this flash on Drudge, the Allen camp found salicious passages from several books that Webb wrote that detailed sex with minors and degrading scenes with women. I’m not going to repost this sick crap here, as it’s enough to read it on Drudge. I will say that being a writer I know that you are taught from the beginning to write from your experince and especially when writing fiction to pull from memory and imagination. Therefore Webb has some explaining to do.

Most of the excerpts show scenes that many GIs of the Vietnam era can identify with, specifically with bar girls and such. But even so this is going to have Webb tap dancing for the last ten days until election.

The most interesting thing will be whether or not the Washington Post will hold true to “journalistic excellance” and run the story and the excerpts the way they would if Allen had been the author.

Time for the MSM to refute the “bias charge”. Somehow I think they won’t.

UPDATE: This story is all over the Washington DC radio networks, to which Webb responded:

“In an interview on Washington Post Radio Friday morning, Jim Webb, the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate in Virginia, said excerpts of his novels are “a little bit inappropriate” to be read on news radio.

“I don’t know why you’re reading that on WTOP,” Webb told host Mark Plotkin. “I think it’s a little bit inappropriate.”

Did you note how it’s always “inappropriate” to catch democrats with their pants down, but “fair game” when it’s a republican?
