With the growing scandal of Senator Harry Reid land dealings and the possibility that he has broken Senate Ethics rules, and quite possibly other laws, in addition to his indisputable associations with disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff, the only question for him is will he do the right thing and resign from his position of Senate minority leader.
After all when it came to others he demanded the same of others, now he wants to file a “I’m sorry, I forgot” report five years after the fact. However the rules are clear and Senator Reid broke the rules pure and simple.
But Harry wants to bend the rules, something he has accused Republicans of doing.
‚ÄúSo the next thing I assume I’ll be hearing from Republicans, they want to change rules some way, as they do on the House when you get a problem with ethics, they just change the rules.‚Äù
Reid’s list of ethics laspes are many and multitude, Harry, step down. It’s the right thing to do.

1Mac,
I don’t think Harry really wants to “change the rules”…he just doesn’t think rules apply to him at all! Nor is he interested in doing the right thing.

2Yeah Harry. Do the right thing for yourself, your party and your nation.
Covering up for 5 years…..it’s the only honorable thing to do. We deserve leaders that are untainted by corruption. I call on you Harry Reid to Step Down.

4No, they’re one up on us: Only the GOP has a rule about stepping down from a leadership post. The Dems do not have that rule, so they can stay in top spots even if indicted. They only demand the Republican rule be honored when they’ve managed to successfully frame those Republicans.

5[...] Macranger recalls this quote from Reid last year: So the next thing I assume I’ll be hearing from Republicans, they want to change rules some way, as they do on the House when you get a problem with ethics, they just change the rules. [...]
