I almost have to wonder today what terrorist, even now plotting death and mayhem, are thinking about the BS that is going on in our House and Senate. On one side you have men and women committed to protecting the Nation, and on the other you have a group of people who don’t deserve the title of “Congress” or “Senator”, who for their own hate and pride would leave us open for another attack. They are morally bankrupt and rebrobate.
I wonder about fellow ops in the field right now, working the ground, and doing their damnest to locate bad guys and extract information that keeps us safe and incidently those slugs confortable in their perks.
Politicians start wars, we fight them. We don’t lose wars either, but they do when they play politics with our nattional security and with outr very lives.
Let’s get one thing straight. What the President is asking for isn’t torture or anything close to it. Again, what measures would Senator McCain have prescribed if Atta would have been captured a week before 9/11 and he KNEW that Atta had something BIG planned? Would he have given him a cup of water, a foot rub, a hogie and coke with a crooked smile.
I know McCain is a hero, but he’s a hero of another era, and quite frankly it’s your last mission for the Nation that counts. Senator McCain is playing games with our National Security and henceforth in my vocabulary will be known as “colaborator”.
Thomas Sowell wrote an article today that nails this point hard:
“When you enter a boxing ring, you agree to abide by the rules of boxing. But when you are attacked from behind in a dark alley, you would be a fool to abide by the Marquis of Queensbury rules. If you do, you can end up being a dead fool.
Even with a nuclear Iran looming on the horizon and the prospect that its nuclear weapons will end up in the hands of international terrorists that it has been sponsoring for years, many in the media and in the government that is supposed to protect us have been preoccupied with whether we are being nice enough to the terrorists in our custody.
The issue has been brought to a head by the efforts of Senators John McCain, John Warner, and Lindsey Graham to get us to apply the rules of the Geneva convention to cutthroats who respect no Geneva convention and are not covered by the Geneva convention.”
Everyone forgets that just because the Supreme Court said the Geneva Convention applied doesn’t mean that they are correct. Fact is that they are quite as the Convention only applies to signatories and Al Qaeda isn’t ever going to be one.
Thomas eludes to the fact that impeachment of Judges - specifically Supreme Court Justices - would be in strict order right now if only our elected leaders had the gonads to do so. Fact is that the Justices that told us what the Constitution nor Article III ever did committed treason against the United States of America and should be appropriately dealt with.

1Yeah, there is a lot of impeaching that should be going on and it is NOT Bush that deserves it.
I consider these people’s positons immoral. They sit in positions of power and if they can not soothe their conscience enough to do their jobs….they should step down from their committees. This is a scary, scary possiblity coming up….

Evidently Warner’s time will be up in January and guess who is next up? Anyone think hell will not reign with a new king in town? I keep wondering if 2 can play their game…..when all the attacks happened in the 90s and then 9/11….wonder why some of these old heads in the Senate were never called to task? Ahhhh…Bush

2They really should get a clue what it feels like if they INSIST on standing in front of the Dems.

3So many things some of these red-blooded, all-American, true-blue patriots insist on, block, or otherwise take strange positions on, just do not make sense.
A new Bill Gertz book is due out about some serious infiltration and influence in several areas of our government and intelligence outfits.
As much as I hate to question whether the above two observations are related, I sincerely dread the answer.
