I called Senator McCain's office in Arizona and left a message with the nice lady there. I'm a registered Republican in Oregon and I would not vote for McCain if he was the last Republican standing.

Why do we want to defend the rights of people that want to behead us???

Gutless!!!!

Mac:

Points well taken on McCain.

As for APB, it is only one of the site owners who backs John McCain. I would hate to see the site become unfairly tainted with people believing that both owners are advocates for the Senator. This is going to be a hot button issue from now until 2008 and I hope there are enough of us to keep our ticket one which will make us proud, not sell us out.

You're right, of course, but if he succeeds in getting weak legislation, Bush will veto it, go on tv and score a major victory with the public.
Hamdan, after all, says he can hold them forever without trial. If we want trials, however, Congress has to legislate for them.

It's chess, not Candyland.

I don't know which base he is playing to. It doesn't sound like he is playing to the base of the republican party. Maybe he is planning to run as an independent.
