On Friday Max Blumenthal just made up some crap to get ABC from airing The Path To 9/11. Seeing that didn’t work, the nutbag - like a typical fanatic - he redoubles his efforts:
“On Friday, September 8, just forty-eight hours before ABC planned to air its so-called “docudrama,” The Path to 9/11, Robert Iger, CEO of ABC’s corporate parent, the Walt Disney Company, was presented with incontrovertible evidence outlining the involvement of that film’s screenwriter and director in a concerted right-wing effort to blame former President Bill Clinton for allowing the 9/11 attacks to take place. Iger told a source close to ABC that he was “deeply troubled” by the information and claimed he had no previous knowledge of the institutional right-wing ties of The Path to 9/11’s creators. He reportedly said that he has commenced an internal investigation to verify the role of the film’s creators in deliberately advancing disinformation through ABC.”
Disinformation….
It’s amazing that the only disinformation has been the disinformation from the left over this move.
The fact is tat President Clinton not only missed one chance to get Bin Laden, but ten chances. This information isn’t from some “Right wing conspiracy”, it’s from the people who were there and are the eye witnesses to his incompetence. We have the witness of Clinton’s “football” man, Col. Buzz Patterson who details Clinton’s ineptness in his book, “Dereliction of Duty” - fact I might add, have never been disputed. Facts which cannot be lied away.
It’s also former Bin Laden Unit chief, Michael Scheuer who blatantly stated:
“His (Saddam’s) innards should be splattered all over Afghanistan”. Who also further wrote in an email:
“This whole business over ABC’s movie is amazing. Now Arthur Schlesinger, Jr. and a pack of political whores who pass themselves off as ‘historians’ have come out four-square for pre-publication censorship.
‚ÄúAs I have told you, the core of the movie is irrefutably true: the Clinton administration had 10 chances to capture of kill bin Laden. Had the 9/11 Commission not whitewashed events, personal culpability would have been assigned and we as a nation could have moved on to fight al-Qaeda. The Commission turned out to be hack-dominated, however, and ignored the documents that were presented to them, as well as the testimony it received under oath. Instead of telling the American people that the intelligence regarding bin Laden, al-Qaeda and their intentions was abundant, precise, and not acted on, the Commissioners blamed ‚Äòthe structure of the intelligence community‚Äô for the failure and then proceeded to wreck the community with a horrendous reform package.”
Of course the Clinton Administration had a chance to blast Bin Laden right out of his turbin, but missed that opportunity due to the same indecision we found constantly during the hunt for him. Then there is also the fact he flat out turned down a chance to take Bin Laden on a silver platter.
The left can try to rewrite Clinton’s incompetence, but there are too many witnesses who will now be emboldened to speak loud and clear to insure the record of Clinton is clear.

2What is particularly galling to me (aside from the entire leftist ‘championship of the First Amendment’ unless it’s expressions they don’t want anyone to hear or think about), is that the leftist whining about the ABC “Path to 9/11″ has one potential valid point, that IF words or actions of real persons are completely fictitious and defamatory, and contrary to actual words and actions of those people, then the individuals mischaracterized have a righteous complaint.
But the Senate prima donna five jumps up and violates the fundamental purpose of the Bill of Rights trying to silence critics, instead of doing what they have legitimate authority to do and that’s pushing through legislation to tighten up libel/slander “absence of malice” loopholes.
Of course, they can’t really do that without risking serious tort actions against themselves and their left-wing minions, who do about 99% of the slandering. Yeah, I guess it is a Catch-22. Heh.

3What about Clarke tonight. Cheney, Condi, Meyers didn’t know what to do and [the liar] Clarke was in charge and directed everything. Now this is just too funny. Is this the only way Clarke can feel good about himself…through some fantasy ;o)
Here’s an article and a picture of Cheney in the bunker/situation room after the attack. FUNNY…I don’t see Clarke in that picture anywhere. [maybe I'm blind...but where is he?]
Cheney was in complete charge and ordered the shoot down of the airliner.

Who took the hit for the incompetence in the fight against terrorism? It sure wasn’t the Bush administration. LOL…

4ABC chief Bob Iger reportedly has told his staff he believes this is one television show all of America needs to see.

5We really showed those Democrats with “The Path to 9/11″! Just because in its advertising to promote the film, ABC stopped making the claim that the film was “based on the 9/11 Commission Report,” we KNOW that it really was, sort of; just because an extended disclaimer ran both before and after the film explaining that the movie contains “fictionalized scenes,” we know that at least it’s OUR fiction, we got it on the air, and the Dems don’t like it.

6Thanks for the Flopping Aces link. I usually check it but had missed that one. Just make you wonder, how anyone can take people seriously; when one day they are convinced that saddam is a monster that must be destroyed and a short while later the same people are saying that was a mistake and we must get out now.
