Well, well, Rocky Rises from under his rock to tell us that that Iraq would be better off WITH Saddam.
“But after 2 1/2 years of reviewing pre-war intelligence behind closed doors, the lead Democrat on the Intelligence Committee, Sen. John Rockefeller (D-W. Va.), who voted for the Iraq War, says the Bush administration pulled the wool over everyone’s eyes.
“The absolute cynical manipulation, deliberately cynical manipulation, to shape American public opinion and 69 percent of the people, at that time, it worked, they said ‘we want to go to war,’” Rockefeller told CBS News correspondent Sharyl Attkisson. “Including me. The difference is after I began to learn about some of that intelligence I went down to the Senate floor and I said ‘my vote was wrong.’”
Rockefeller went a step further. He says the world would be better off today if the United States had never invaded Iraq — even if it means Saddam Hussein would still be running Iraq.
He said he sees that as a better scenario, and a safer scenario, “because it is called the ‘war on terror.’”
Does Rockefeller stands by his view, even if it means that Saddam Hussein could still be in power if the United States didn’t invade?
“Yes. [Saddam] wasn’t going to attack us. He would’ve been isolated there,” Rockefeller said. “He would have been in control of that country but we wouldn’t have depleted our resources preventing us from prosecuting a war on terror which is what this is all about.”
Note to the Republican’s: Just let the Democrats keep talking, they’re doing a good job of showing who they really are.
Of course Rocky would say that because he did his best to warn Saddam throught Syria that we were coming.
“I took a trip by myself in January of 2002 to Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Syria, and I told each of the heads of state that it was my view that George Bush had already made up his mind to go to war against Iraq, that that was a predetermined set course which had taken shape shortly after 9/11.”
For those still in Government Studies, that’s called “Treason”. It’s not any secret that Rockefeller, along his partner in crime Senator Dick Durbin have been attempting to undermine the Nation’s war effort since the beginning, including but not limited to disclosing classified information to journalists, and who could forget his memo?
Of course as I have commented on for many moons Rocky is under investigation for such leaks, and I wish I could give you an updated status, but the Grand Jury is still looking into all the leaks, and Rocky, among other Democrats is still not in the clear.
The guy has chutzpah, or perhaps he’s just stupid.
UPDATE: Clarice Feldman’s thoughts at American Thinker “You just can’t make this stuff up! You can say that again!

2What I can’t believe is FoxNews Sunday host Chris Wallace.
Now FoxNews ratings are due to the conservatives that watch. Yet, we’ve got Chris Wallace offending each and everyone of them by allowing a clip of Jay Bird Rocky speaking on this report that was totally partisan without much truth to it at all. In fact, we’ve got Chairman Pat Roberts leaving DC without even giving any interviews whatsoever because:
Excerpt: When the Senate Intelligence Committee released a declassified version of its findings this past week, the Republican chairman of the committee, Pat Roberts, left town without doing interviews, calling the report a rehash of unfounded partisan allegations.
So what’s with Chris Wallace? He goes on FoxNews and states that ‘The Path to 911′ should be pulled when all the watchers of FoxNews profoundly disagree with that stand.
Hmmm…same ole’ same ole’ coming out of the rat crowd!!!
Thanks Mac…your reporting does an outstanding service to this country.

3The Sneaky Leaky Snake in the Senate -Updated…
I wouldn’t buy a used car from a Senator that leaks more than the Titanic - much less believe any Senate Intel report that has his fingerprints on it. Rockefeller is either the Jon Lovitz of the Senate or he suffers from a severe case of memory loss…..

4Mac,
I have some really fascinating information I found on Clinton’s big confrontation with Saddam back in 1997. It is highly relevant to what’s going on now!! Holy Sh*t is it relevant!! It is extremely enlightening to say the least but WAYYYY too long to leave in a comment. Have you an e-mail where I can send it as an attachment? It will be a microsoft word file .doc.

5Wallace also showed a clip of what Rocky said in Oct02, and I was struck by the fact that I have heard NO ONE except Rocky use the term EMINENT threat to describe Saddam. LOL!
Chutzpah? He knows how short and fickle the American public’s memory is. How else could they get away with their “Bush lied” meme? or a thousand others.
