If Bill Clinton thinks that thuggery will work to keep the truth at bay, he might want to get that tripple by-pass checked again.

Over the years since I left military service I’ve stayed in contact with many old friends in the IC and Military communities. Just to keep it short there are a LOT of people from either former service or present who are itching to come forward and tell their side to the Clinton years in regards his dereliction of duty during his reign. One such individual from that period who knows exactly what Clinton did and more importantly didn’t do is Col. Buzz Patterson, who carried the “football” for Clinton and who wrote the tell all book, Derilection of Duty. Asked about The Path to 9/11, to which he is an actual witness to some of the events:

“A former military aide to President Clinton who claims he witnessed several missed opportunities to capture or kill Osama bin Laden says the producer of the ABC mini-series “The Path to 9/11″ came to him in frustration after network executives under a heavy barrage of criticism from former administration officials began pressing for changes to the script.

In an interview with WND, retired Air Force Lt. Col. Robert “Buzz” Patterson said producer and writer Cyrus Nowrasteh called him the morning of Sept. 1, explaining he had used Patterson’s book “Dereliction of Duty” as a source for the drama.

Later that day, Nowrasteh brought a preview copy of “The Path to 9/11″ to Patterson for him to view at home. Patterson, who says he has talked with the director seven or eight times since then, also received a phone call from an ABC senior vice president, Quinn Taylor.

Patterson told WND he recognizes the television production conflates several events, but, in terms of conveying how the Clinton administration handled its opportunities to get bin Laden, it’s “100 percent factually correct,” he said.

“I was there with Clinton and (National Security Adviser Sandy) Berger and watched the missed opportunities occur,” Patterson declared.

The five-hour drama is scheduled to air in two parts, Sunday night and Monday night, Sept. 11.

As a military aide to President Clinton from 1996 to 1998, Patterson was one of five men entrusted with carrying the “nuclear football,” which contains the codes for launching nuclear weapons.

Reached by phone at his home in Southern California, Nowrasteh affirmed to WND he consulted with Patterson and gave him a preview of the drama.”

“In “Dereliction of Duty,” published by Regnery in 2003, Patterson recounts an event in the situation room of the White House in which Berger was told by a military watch officer, “Sir, we’ve located bin Laden. We have a two-hour window to strike.”

Clinton, according to Patterson, did not return phone calls from Berger for more than an hour then said he wanted more time to study the situation.

Patterson writes: “We ’studied’ the issues until it was too late-the window of opportunity closed.”

In another “missed opportunity,” Patterson writes, Clinton was watching a golf tournament when Berger placed an urgent call to the president. Clinton became irritated when Patterson approached him with the message. After the third attempt, Clinton coolly responded he would call Berger on his way back to the White House. By then, however, according to Patterson, the opportunity was lost.”

Of course this pulls a new light on the “Berger Scene”, when he tell’s them “I don’t have the authority”. Remember, we only have Berger’s - a convicted felon - word that it didn’t happen.

Folks, there IS a reason that Clinton is pulling out all the stops. It’s not just about his “legacy”, it’s about incompetance on such as level that he could be prosecuted for it. I know, I know some of the people who were there and witnessed it. It’s much worse than anyone could ever believe. Col. Patterson isn’t the only voice as they’re have been many others over the last five years, yet silenced by legal threats and lack of MSM coverage. But there are going to be even more stepping forward, many many more in the coming weeks.

The ABC decision to air the Path to 9/11 is only the beginning. For all the falling on the sword (on the left and even some on the right) trying to say that the movie shouldn’t be shown, the pure and simple fact is that most of them haven’t seen the movie yet. For those on the right, “Take a powder”, and watch it first.

But a lot should be said for those in the Clinton camp who are taking historically extraordiary measures to get this movie off the air. That should tell you something. I was taught a long time ago by my dad that if someone is telling a lie about you, you may voice your displeasure, but it shouldn’t upset you that much. After all the truth is the truth.

But in my fifty years of life, some of which is law enforcement, I learned that when you see this kind of reaction to a story - even IF not true - it tells you a LOT about the subject. Guilt by reaction we called it. What we have seen from Democrats tells the entire story about why we HAVE TO see this movie and why at last the truth about the Clinton Administration will be finally known to all.

“THE WHITE HOUSE SITUATION ROOM was buzzing. It was fall 1998 and the National Security Council (NSC) and the ‚Äúintelligence community‚Äù were tracking the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden, the shadowy mastermind of terrorist attacks on American targets overseas. ‚ÄúThey‚Äôve successfully triangulated his location,‚Äù yelled a ‚ÄúSit Room‚Äù watch stander. ‚ÄúWe‚Äôve got him.‚Äù

Beneath the West Wing of the White House, behind a vaulted steel door, the Sit Room staff sprang into action. The watch officer notified National Security Advisor Sandy Berger, “Sir, we’ve located bin Laden. We have a two-hour window to strike.” Characteristic of the Clinton administration, the weapons of choice would be Tomahawk missiles. No clandestine “snatch” by our Special Operations Forces. No penetrating bombers or high-speed fighter aircraft flown by our Air Force and Navy forces. No risk of losing American lives.

Berger ambled down the stairwell and entered the Sit Room. He picked up the phone at one of the busy controller consoles and called the president. Amazingly, President Clinton was not available. Berger tried again and again. Bin Laden was within striking distance. The window of opportunity was closing fast. The plan of attack was set and the Tomahawk crews were ready. For about an hour Berger couldn’t get the commander in chief on the line. Though the president was always accompanied by military aides and the Secret Service, he was somehow unavailable. Berger stalked the Sit Room, anxious and impatient.

Finally, the president accepted Berger’s call. There was discussion, there were pauses—and no decision. The president wanted to talk with his secretaries of defense and state. He wanted to study the issue further. Berger was forced to wait. The clock was ticking. The president eventually called back. He was still indecisive. He wanted more discussion. Berger alternated between phone calls and watching the clock.

The NSC watch officer was convinced we had the right target. The intelligence sources were conclusive. The president, however, wanted a guaranteed hit or nothing at all. This time, it was nothing at all. We didn‚Äôt pull the trigger. We ‚Äústudied‚Äù the issue until it was too late‚Äîthe window of opportunity closed.”

The issue of whether of not Clinton missed chances to get Bin Laden isn’t even up for discussion folks.
