Mark, they are not 'called out' because it is still almost impossible to get past the MSM blockage. Like ABC's movie....I would be willing to allow the showing of all of Bush's actions/inactions.....if we could get info to the masses of the 'long' buildup of a now powerful enemy. The young were not even born when it got it's new legs. They are clueless about the entire 90s.

I think this president picks his battles because he happened to be in the spot when all the forces were ready to come together. This speech was wonderful and he picked a battle that is long due. I suspect he had to wait to election time to bring enough pressure to even stand a shot at winning.

We Repubs have some fools and old fools that have shown over and over they do not understand governing as a majority. They still get bogged down with their own personal issues.

Fool---Lindsay Graham. He lives in a battle with his conscience and his own expertise as a military lawyer. He gives himself much too much credit.

Old Fool---Warner joined the Gang and I think comes from the 'power' position.

Old Fool--Spector seems to share equally with the above mentioned. He should have a friendly aide contact AJ. AJ could even explain NSA to an Old Fool.

Old Fool--McCain lives with past memories of another world with other enemies. He makes such insane arguments as equating today's torture with yesterday. You can read a terrorist his Rights until the cows come home and his fellow terrorist will still chop off your head.

Tacking in a Storm...

Congress is being told to set the rules. Expect laundry lists of activities to go into the acceptable and unacceptable columns. The trick will be figuring out which ones are not mentioned at all, and how those are treated. Will Congress provide that .....

Good question, Mark. When you find out the answer, let the rest of us know.

Mark:

The Dems know that the press will not carry their water if they demonize the terrorists. Heck the most of the MSM still won't call these monsters what they really are.

However, a juicy soundbite, factual or not will go a long way if it harms this administration in some way.

I agree, it is frustrating that it seems like we never see the Right strike back and perhaps we should find a great mouthpiece in Congress who is not John McCain and designate him or her to counter each ridiculous remark made by the left...no wait, that wouldn't work either so it is best to let the President hit a home run time after time with words both timely and well placed.

Let's just hope there are enough of us this November and blogs like Mac's keep presenting us with facts not fantasy.

Why is it that Democrats spend so much more time talking about how to crush their political enemies and demonizing their political enemies compared with the real enemies of this country?

Why are they never called out on this?
