Report: Israel might hit Iran alone?
That’s what I said last year. Israel is simply not going to wait until the international do-nothings decide to do nothing. They have a lot at stake.
“Israel is carefully watching the world’s reaction to Iran’s continued refusal to suspend uranium enrichment, with some high-level officials arguing it is now clear that when it comes to stopping Iran, Israel “may have to go it alone,” The Jerusalem Post has learned.
One senior source said on Tuesday that Iran “flipped the world the bird” by not responding positively to the Western incentive plan to stop uranium enrichment. He expressed frustration that the Russians and Chinese were already saying that Iran’s offer of a “new formula” and willingness to enter “serious negotiations” was an opening to keep on talking.
“The Iranians know the world will do nothing,” he said. “This is similar to the world’s attempts to appease Hitler in the 1930s – they are trying to feed the beast.”
He said there was a need to understand that “when push comes to shove,” Israel would have to be prepared to “slow down” the Iranian nuclear threat by itself.”
Like I said, somebody’s got to do it.

With the purchase of two new diesel/electric subs, both of which can be armed with nuclear weapons, Israel has already shown that they won’t take crap from Iran.
The reason they may have to go it alone is that as a nation they have the will to make it happen. Europe is run by a bunch of pacifists (you know – if we don’t take a swing at the bees they won’t sting us), and Russia and China are huge trading partners with Iran. The US could do something, but thanks to the DemoNcrats we are so divided there is no longer a national will…..

I’m not so sure Israel will have to go it alone. I think (hope, pray?) GWB & company are fast realizing Iran wants to be the Big Kahuna of Islam and has zero respect or the West (specifically the US) because of the lack of will we have so aptly demonstrated repeatedly since they took over the embassy in 1979. Add to that the political turmoil created by the Dems & the BDS from the appeasement crowd around the world in dealing decisively with the terrorist threat and I‚Äôm sure they get a good chuckle each time the UN ‚Äúrecommends‚Äù they stop their uranium enrichment.
Here’s the calculus: the T’s want desperately to embarrass GWB and will pull out the stops to pull off another attack before he leaves office (and if that happens to be a nuke that inflicts maximum damage, so much the better.) If Iran gets a nuke, they will gladly let a surrogate do the dirty work as well as provide funding, security and intelligence. So, the odds of an attack (both here and there) will rise exponentially with each passing month and my read on GWB is he will not leave that little ‘Baby Ruth in the punch bowl’ for someone else to clean up.
Let’s hope Iran comes to their senses before it is too late.
