Hillary’s been accused by the uber left of being too right, now she wants the Kos Kids to know she can be tough if she has to.
“WASHINGTON Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton says it’s been too long since Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld testified before Congress, and she has challenged him to appear.
Clinton wrote to Rumsfeld today, a day before a potentially contentious Senate hearing about the Iraq war.
Rumsfeld last appeared before the Armed Services Committee in February. The committee’s top Republican and Democrat also have asked Rumsfeld to testify. Senators John Warner of Virginia and Carl Levin of Michigan say they have questions about Iraq, Afghanistan and the recent violence in Lebanon.
Clinton is a committee member. She has criticized the administration’s handling of the war, but she has not joined other prominent Democrats in asking for Rumsfeld’s resignation.
Tomorrow’s hearing is scheduled to hear from General Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and General John Abizaid, who leads Central Command.
.
Originally Rummy told them to go stuff it (who has time to play to these fools), but the WH stepped in and told him to go ahead and do it anyway.
Look for Rummy to make ‘em look as stupid as they are. The fact is that there is no answer that these dolts like Levin are looking for that will satisfy them. All they’re looking for is a forum to air their “quagmire” and “will you resign?” mantras, and show off. To them it’s all about elections. They are a half mile wide and two-inches deep.
Excuse me, we have a war going on….
UPDATE: I was right, she got creamed by the Rummy. brutal.
UPDATE: Hillary now full tilt boogy uber liberal - wants Rumsfeld to resign.

1Having watched about an hour of that hearing today, I couldn’t agree more with you. This is an EXTREME waste of time and monumentally boring as well. Is this all we have to look forward to if the Democrats pick up seats in either house? One stupid investigation after another? When, exactly, is Hillary going to declare which side she’s on and be done with it? Never mind…I know the answer to all these questions.
God help us!!

2Oooops! According to Free Republic, I missed the Hillary fireworks. Oh well, I’m sure we’ll hear about it ad nauseum in the coming *groan* days…strike that…weeks…oh hell, months. They WILL have their talking points for the November elections.
As far as I am concerned, Hillary just made an ass out of herself. I also heard that she left the hearing as soon as she was finished with her tirade. Rummy smaked her down pretty good. Go Rummy!

5The hag read from a long and tedious statement that one of her lackeys prepared for her. It was boring beyond belief, especially as delivered in her trademark sing-song rant. I doubt very much that, once the majority of voters are exposed to her speaking style, that she could survive a presidential campaign.

6This hearing was political theatre from her thighness. Look what “it” has to say now.

7Love the title…Clinton Comedy. It was and yes, she stood up and left immediately after she put on her show.
They need some new rules in these so-called Hearings. They should be glued to their chairs for at least 75% of the Hearing….OR…..have their words of wisdom stricken from the record.
Rummy did fine but it is criminal for someone with his responsibilities to have to put up with this kind of crap and waste his time. He actually has a job.
Notice that these Congress Critters do no wrong. Ever. Even after they get the option to ‘change their minds according to how the wind blows’.
Everyone better give up their pet issues and VOTE…otherwise we will have Kerry’s good allies giving the country away without a whimper, another President Clinton….plus…we will get our personal issues put in concrete so deep they will never surface.

8What is so great about Secretary Rumsfeld is that he will not dignify arrogance with long winded answers. He answered this rant by Hillary in short sentences, each making her points look rather foolish.
It is shameful that once again she sits in judgment of someone who has given most of his life honorably to public service while she continues to associate bottom feeders.
I agree Owl, everyone must vote and it is absolutely imperative we never allow the likes of another Clinton to inhabit the White House.
